EMANUELE BUZI, mandolin

 

Among the best mandolin players of his generation, Emanuele Buzi was born in Rome in 1978.

He began to study mandolin with his grandfather, the virtuoso Giuseppe Anedda, and with international soloist Dorina Frati. Collaborates with greatest opera houses such as La Scala in Milan, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Arturo Toscanini Foundation of Parma, the Teatro Massimo of Palermo and was directed by Riccardo Muti, Mstislav Rostropovich, Donato Renzetti, Georges Pretre, Wayne Marshall, Myung-Whun Chung.

He has performed in Turkey, Austria, Albania, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and Japan with 6 tour.

With his plucked quintet, Quintetto a Plettro “Giuseppe Anedda”, has performed at the Cappella Paolina of the Quirinale, the Presidential Palace in Rome which was broadcast live on Radio Rai 3.

Since 2008 he is mandolin professor at the Conservatory of Music "V. Bellini" of Palermo.
